What Is Crisis Management Turnaround?
CQC Crisis Turnaround is the improvement of a service for organisations that have run into problems, resulting in an inadequate CQC rating or CQC enforcement action. These problems need to be resolved quickly and effectively so the company can continue to run and provide care for any patients currently under their care.
AT HLTH Resourcing, we offer leading crisis management turnaround support for organisations nationwide. This is led by Tracey Westwood, our Head of Compliance, who has experience both as a healthcare provider and as a CQC inspector, dealing specifically with CQC Notices and Crisis Management.
Tracey Westwood, Head of Compliance
Tracey is a well-respected former CQC Inspector and Registered Manager. With 22 years’ experience within the healthcare sector and the CQC itself, she brings an invaluable insight into the CQC’s complex expectations to our team. She understands the importance of proactive CQC Crisis Turnaround Support, and provides a management solution for health and social care providers going through this process. Day-to-day, Tracey sources exceptional trusted and compliant professionals for our clients, often supporting them during periods of crisis or sudden transition.
Enforcement Action Support.
We can offer you a proactive support package, tailormade to your individual circumstances.
If the CQC are taking enforcement action against you, we offer support with Civil Action such as Notices of Proposal (NOPs) and Notices of Decisions (NODs), alongside Warning Notices. This can include suspensions or restrictions being placed on services you provide, or an expectation to take urgent improvement action.
Our team of experts carry out a full compliance assessment of your current situation and support you to improve your service and demonstrate compliance. Their team of health and social care experts understand every service and situation is different, and work with you to create a bespoke plan that meets your current needs.
We will work with your interim manager to ensure that all changes and compliancy actions are being applied in the day-to-day management of your organisation.
Our clinically led team at HLTH Resourcing bring a wealth of industry insight and experience to the recruitment process, so you can trust our interim management support to be extremely high-quality and informed.
We believe in going above and beyond.
We can also help with…
We can provide legal services from a leading national law firm as well as the ability to collaborate, we know sometimes having an interim manager alone may not be enough.
We aim to exceed both the requirements of our clients and the aspirations of our candidates, this is why we strive to help our customers in whatever way possible, always looking for ways to go above and beyond.
Crisis management turnaround is needed if a company has been given a low CQC rating and has experienced subsequent action because of this. The CQC have the right to inspect healthcare services and enforce action if the services do not meet their standards of care.
After giving out a bad rating, the CQC give companies time to try and improve the services they provide to patients. This window of time is often just enough for a crisis management turnaround team to act and resolve the big problems that caused the healthcare company to receive a low CQC rating.
Legal Support
We also work closely with Brabners – a leading national law firm specialising in CQC enforcement action. This means we can additionally support with any legal requirements you have with regards to the Care Quality Commission.
Collaboration
We understand an interim manager alone may not be enough to help your provider improve or implement change at the most trying times. Which is why, through the triangulation of our specialised professional teams, we can offer an entire suite of proactive support for any healthcare provider when they need it the most.

Calvert Reconnections.

“We contacted HLTH Resourcing for help to recruit a new Registered Manager for the Calvert Reconnections neuro-rehabilitation service in Keswick, Cumbria. Following an extended delay due to the Covid pandemic, the service opened to clients in June 2021 as the UK’s first intensive acquired brain injury rehabilitation centre focused on outdoor activities.
This is where HLTH Resourcing came in. The team really impressed us in taking the time to gain a full understanding of our organisation and the demands of the vacancy. It was clear they wanted to find a candidate of an extremely high-quality as well as someone well matched to Calvert- a difficult task given the limitations of the region. They scouted an excellent candidate who we have taken on as our manager.. Thanks HLTH Resourcing! Your team were incredibly friendly and professional, and we are delighted to have such a positive outcome to your work.”
